Group #21 Group name: Moon light studios Summary: Our games is about our world needing to replace the nuclear resources with solar resources. So America and Russia send representatives to an auction who are giving out solar resources that could potentially help their nation. With the parts you bring to the table you could have the auctioneer build the products you want to help your people. The target audience for our game is everyone. Problems: Some problems we had during development is that that the game before the revamp was much too quick so games would literally end in like 3 mins or less. Not only that but the game was too dependent on luck. So we got many critiques about the heavy reliance on luck factor for the game. So the question now was how to change the game so that we can still have luck but its not entirely luck based. Solutions: So what I decided to do was revamp the whole game. What the game became was an uno equivalent where the 2 players have to draw cards...

Diner scene

Dining scene-blocking For my scene I'm going to shoot at an angle like the reference picture I have. The reason I'm doing that because I want to have the scene be more dynamic rather than plain. Along with the camera being in the corner I'm going to have the table and chairs be in a diamond shape just like the photo as well. As for the color of the scene its going to be mostly warm colors like orange, red, and yellow because I'm trying to capture more of an African feel to my restaurant. Finally the amount of tables I will have will be around 11. The items I'm planning to put in my scene is obviously tables and chairs. I will also put a few pillars (like 2) Lights (light bulbs) plates and pictures on the wall. most likely these will appear next week This is the reference. this is the blocking 10/11/2017 progress: The progress I made was making sure that I created the models for the chairs and tables because they were the meat of ...

Grocery Shelf

Image
Grocery Shelf description: for this assignment we were supposed to make a grocery shelf that is supposed to be reminiscent of your run in the mill Grocery shelf. However we needed to add 6 packaged items and 3 jars. I kind of forgot to put in the jars for this assignment but for everything else i made sure I got custom textures for my 6 boxes and shelf. Though the wood texture didn't translate well to Maya. Problems:  One of the problems I had during the process of the assignment is the textures themselves. Some of the textures would be a bit small and sometimes the UV's will be way to big for me to correctly fit it in there. So I had to stretch some of the textures for it to look much better. Another problem I had is that when I rendered the project there would be weird white splotches on it making it look very off. However I fixed most of it by asking Jen about the problem and she told me to lower the specularity of the project.
